Sub: Non-settlement of Problems - Agitational programmes - submission of memorandum - reg.
A meeting of the Joint Council of Action (JCA) comprising the Unions/Associations affiliated to NFPE and FNPO has reviewed the overall situation prevailing in the Central Region and has come to the unanimous conclusion that day-by-day the situation is going from bad to worse due to the illegal orders, unprecedented actions and abnormal behaviour of Sri. George Nainan, Postmaster General, Central Region. Due to the atmosphere of uncertainity and also due to the harassment of employees especially Officers by the PMG, the entire Region is suffering. All developmental activities in the Central Region has come to a stand still.
In view of the above, the JCA has decided to organise serious agitational programmes to safeguard the interest of the public, employees and the Department of Posts. As the PMG has not responded favourably to the memorandum submitted by the JCA on 07-09-2011, it is decided to serve a final notice to the PMG before commencing the next phase of agittional programmes culminating in indefinite strike.
Accordingly notice is hereby given that the Circle Office Bearers/Divisional Union Office Bearers of the Unions/Associations affiliated to NFPE and FNPO shall commence Indefinite hunger fast in front of the Office of the Postmaster General, Central Region, from 12-03-2012. In case the PMG still refuses to come forward for a negotiated settlement with the JCA, the entire Postal and RMS Employees including Gramin Dak Sevaks working in the Divisions/Offices of the Central Region shall go on Indefinite sit-in-strike without any further notice.
Charter of demands attached herewith.
