Sub: Admissibility of Ex-Gratia gratuvity to Gramin Dak Sevaks on Discharge-Clarification reg: -

Attention of all concerned is invited to Annexure III of this Directorate order No: 6-1/2009-PE.II dated 08.10.2009 containing details of existing and revised beniits under benefit named ‘Ex-Gratia Gratuity’.

2. In this context, it is to clarify that minimum service eligibility is to be regulated strictly in accordance with order issued by this Directorate under No: 40-29/87-PE II dated 15.07.87 prescribing minimum service as 10 years effective from 01.01.1986 & the words “Minimum service prescribed is 15 years” appearing under the column present benifits against the nature of benifit ex-gratia gratuity in Annexure III to this Directorate order No: 6-1/2009-PE/11 dated 08.10.2009 may be replaced by “Minimum service prescribed is 10 years”.

3. This may be brought to the notice of all concerned.

Postmaster Grade I Examination postponed

The Limited Departmental Competitive Examinations for promotion to the cadre of Postmaster Grade I scheduled to be held on 12th June 2011, has been indefinitely postponed, for Kerala Circle, due to some court cases.
